Our ticker symbol is ABAT. Our common stock is listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market (NASDAQ:ABAT).

The company was incorporated under the laws of the State of Nevada on October 6, 2011 for the purpose of acquiring rights to mineral properties. In 2018 the company brought on new leadership and shifted its objective to becoming a battery materials recycling and primary extraction. In 2019, Ryan Melsert joined the company as the Chief Technology Officer and joined the Board of Directors as an executive member September 2020. Taking the helm as CEO in September 2021 and, in support of the company’s shift towards commercialization, Melsert has ushered in a full leadership transition, including the appointment of new independent board members.

Our headquarters is located at 100 Washington Street, Suite 100, Reno, NV. The company also has offices in Tonopah, NV and its battery recycling facility in McCarran, NV.

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) currently controls 517 Lode Claims in Tonopah Flats (approximately 10,700 acres). The project has been recognized as one of the USA’s largest known lithium deposits, with 2.73 million tonnes of proven and probable lithium reserves.

In our recycling process’ first demanufacturing phase, battery materials are recycled into products including copper, aluminum, steel, a lithium intermediate, and a black mass intermediate material. In our second hydrometallurgical selective leaching phase, the lithium intermediate is further refined into a battery grade lithium hydroxide product, and the black mass intermediate material is further refined into battery grade nickel, cobalt, manganese, and lithium hydroxide products.

Our first commercial recycling plant will be scaled to process 20,000 metric tonnes of feedstock per year. Further expansion of ABTC’s recycling technologies includes a planned commercial facility designed to process 100,000 metric tonnes of battery materials per year.

End of life, full battery assemblies (including scrap materials) are to be received by ABTC and processed by our recycling facility. Each individual element is then extracted and purified to battery grade quality. These battery grade feedstocks are then sold directly back to the supply chain to manufacture new batteries.

ABTC’s proprietary advanced hydro technology uses automation in the de-manufacturing of batteries and targeted hydrometallurgical processing to recover the active battery metals. It avoids high-temperature processing, and is a streamlined and efficient process to yield a greater than 90% recovery rate of battery cathode specification products.
